She also had a great sense of humor.

I knew how close you and Pat have become. I can just hear her saying "forget the damned ironing."

She will be remembered and missed.

BillWilliam J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/17369149140083493527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5906407940530405089.post-77292246261644710692012-10-14T05:35:40.920-07:002012-10-14T05:35:40.920-07:00Hi Dona

I remember vividly meeting her for the first time in person, presenting her with a necklace made from dried okra, and seeing her face shine with delight. She had never seen okra before! What a wonderful person she was. May she be at peace in the other world.
Therapy Shirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15774430778849607299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5906407940530405089.post-81508583020879365672012-10-13T14:03:51.224-07:002012-10-13T14:03:51.224-07:00Thank you, Bill. Pat didn't want a funeral or memorial service, but I'll bet she's grinning down at you for the unique "eulogy" you've provided.

Thanks for the memories of the Issues forum - what a group we were and what fun we had. The Netstock in Boulder was a great time and part of that was sharing a room with Pat and Maryanne E. What a sense of humor Pat had.

Over the past few years, Pat and I had grown close, exchanging emails each evening, solving the world's problems, discussing books, trials and triumphs. We discussed my book, I asked her advice about an additional chapter and she not only liked the idea, she read it, edited it and added to it. She was always a source of support and encouragement, often provided a giggle for the day and just as often saved my sanity on occasion.

Her spirit is still here. I sense her voice, saying, "Finish the book, feed the birds, play with Scamp and forget about the d*mned ironing!"Lady DRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01520387022184142662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5906407940530405089.post-70757103000750415772012-10-13T13:03:04.365-07:002012-10-13T13:03:04.365-07:00Bill, I am so sorry to hear this news.
