A Surprise Update.

Happy Fathers Day Everyone. May this be a great day for anyone that had a positive impact on a child's life.

Last week. One dinner out, two seminars, two nights three days at Mom's and a picnic that turned out to be a surprise party for me. My brother's eldest daughter, Kelli, was visiting from Wyoming so my sister but together a picnic without me knowing it. Due to rain it was held at Mom's house. Kelli and her three kids (her husband was at work). Kristi, her husband, and their two children were there. Greg, his wife and eldest daughter were there. Kelli, Kristi, & Greg are my brothers' kids. Of course Mom, Sis, and brother-in-law were there. Three of by brothers cousins were there as was their aunt Ginger. And of course me. Nineteen in all.

There is nothing like the love of children. It is so pure. You can click on all pictures to make them larger.

This is from Emma, Kelli's youngest daughter, Charlie.

This is from Emma, Kelli's next eldest daughter:

This is what Kelli's eldest son, Grover, made for me:

On the agenda for next week is a ton. The caregiver is on vacation for her birthday so there are some extra days in there. Today and Tomorrow are errand and work days. Tuesday my sister and my Mom are taking me to the casino for my birthday. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are at Mom's. I'm not sure if I will miss days on the blog but there is a chance of that. I am really looking forward the week starting the 26th. One dinner engagement and one night at Mom's. Life gets easier.

What is on your agenda for next week? What was on your agenda for last week? Tell me all about your lives, inquiring minds want to know.

The cards from the kids are just lovely, Bill. You are their hero. But just what is that that Grover made for you? It's colorful and looks very well done indeed, but I'm just not sure what it is.

I hope you make it through next week to the following week, which sounds much easier.

A surprise party - what fun! (I had to check my calendar, to make sure I hadn't messed up). The cards from the kids are wonderful. It's obvious they have a favorite uncle. You had a super busy week and next week sounds equally crazy. I can see why you're looking forward to the last week of June (g). We'll certainly understand if you miss a day or two on the blog and you certainly have my permission to wait until after next week to post presidents, trivia, whatever!

I had a busy week, mostly at home, except for the pool four days, line dance one day, a deep therapy massage and chiro app't. Decluttering and clearing out, got all the donations distributed. Finally did the closing on the re-fi, after a couple minor crises a couple days prior. What a huge relief to have that done and the hassles and paperwork behind us! We celebrated with a sumptuous dinner at City Range. Got some much needed rain Wednesday evening and it's currently raining and I"m hoping it will last a long time, as we're definitely in drought conditions here. Other that that, daily Scamp time, including some training, some playing and lots of cuddle or lap time. DNR tells me she's safe from local hawks. Folks on the Bird & Bloom forum are mixed - one says no problem, the other says definite problem. I do go out with her, to be sure "jobs" are done, but have left her on her own a couple times, if Spook's out there, too.

Next week looks relatively quiet, in terms of "going," although I've a long list of projects to accomplish in the office. I shall be quite sorry to see my "vacation" end and go back to work the first of July, I think.

Pat - I think what Grover gave Bill was a loomed pot holder?

Hi Pat

Grover is quite the little business man. He makes pot holders and coasters and sells them for two bucks each. What he made for me is a coaster, it isn't big enough to be a pot holder but DR made a great guess.

Hi DR

The surprise parties are never on the right day so you don't get an inkling of anything brewing.

My niece is doing a great job rasing her children, she is one of the better moms I know.

I am so glad you got to the pool for four days. And you got to line dance. The deep therapy massage sounds soothing and helpful. The re-fi has seem to taken forever and I am gld it is done. City Range, a steak kind of place? And you got rain. Dona and my rain dances helped, obviously.

I don't know who to believe in relation to the hawks but DNR seems to be speaking with knowledge.

June sure did go fast, didn't it?
