NEW CONTEST ANNOUNCED!

The Civil War was last night. The University of Oregon Ducks beat the Oregon State Beavers 37-33 and will represent the Pac-10 in the Rose Bowl on January 1, 2010. They will take on the Buckeyes of Ohio State. It was a great game but not as great as the story I am about to make you aware of. Sometimes it is about so much more than the game. Just a little Oregon Duck history, the University of Oregon has Disney's permission to use a Donald Duck look alike as their mascot. Sometimes that mascot will make people smile. Even a non-sports fan like Pat will like this story. I would strongly suggest a tissue or two while reading the before an after

Lovely story, Bill, even for a non-sports-fan like me. {g} What a terrific young man. And kudos to the mother that taught him, too.

Hope you're managing to be optimistic about the stress test. I am. Optimistic, that is.

Am I ready for a contest? Not sure. Maybe.

Bill, thanks for sharing the stories. Kudos to the young man for getting things started, to his mom for "raising hime right" and to all the other fans who made things happen. What a lovely gift to the little girl and her family and they'll have the pictures and scrap book and special shirt to hopefully help them through the surgery next month.

Hi Pat

I thought you might like the story!

I'm still really worried about the test.

Hi DR

I think you also have to give kudos to the coach, if they had regular tickets she probably wouldn't have been able to go, but in the coach's private box she was able to withstand the noise etc.

I loved everything about the story!!!

Bill, nice story, as usual. Where do you find the time?

Try to not stress about the upcoming stress test. That's easier said than done huh? Have you had one before?

Contest? So soon? Again where do you find the time..... (Hopefully not the source of the stress?)

Hi Dona!!

It doesn't really take a lot of time for the stories. I read two papers a day in the morning with my coffee and breakfast, so finding the stories is just going to the papers' web sites and cut and paste.

The contest saves time because the day the contest comes out I don't post any other blog entry. I already have a checking sheet. So checking them is easy.

And thanks to you I am getting a little more comfortable with the stress test.
