The man survived at work but was negative all day. I really have a hard time being around negative people. They create havoc all around them.
On to today's post. The theme today is the unusual and different.

While I wouldn't mind having more friends on Facebook, it just seems wrong to have the Pope as one.
I never did like snakes but I kind of feel sorry for this one.

Bill, I'm not going to friend the Pope, but it may be a good thing for folks to be able to see exactly what he said, rather than having his words filtered through the media.
As to the woman and the snake - why ever would anyone want to lick a snake? You're right, at the moment, I'm feeling sorry for the snake.
Don't think I recall any incidents of dolphins jumping in boats, during our years in FL, several of which were spent on the Indian River on our pontoon, enjoying watching the dolphins swim alongside and play in front of us.
I hear you on negative people. There are one or two I kind of try to avoid at the pool. They love to talk, but 90% of the subject matter is negative or depressing. Kind of counter-productive, since I do my pool PT as a combination of getting my body back together and stress reduction . Remember how JC talked about toxic people in the AW course? More and more, I think she has valid points.
Will I "friend" the Pope? The dead one? Of course not. Nor the living one, either. Especially not him.
Negative people? They drag everyone down. I'm feeling old and cranky at the moment, but I try hard not to let it show when with friends. I might announce it, but then I move on and try not to drag everyone else down with me. Your co-worker should try something similar.
I heard the snake story on radio and was appalled. She deserved to be bitten. Neither article says what kind of snake, but presumably it was a non-poisonous one. I guess you can't say the same for the model.
Heard the dolphin story, also, and I think that woman was very fortunate to only get a sprained ankle out of it.

To me there is just something wrong with the Pope, dead or alive, being on Facebook. I can see people posting inappropriate things on his Facebook Page.
Licking a snake is really kind of stupid. It would be to hard for me to lick a snake since I would be running in another direction.
You have to wonder about two things. What attraced the Dolphin that he/she felt the need to jump into the boat. And how did the woman escape with just a sprained ankle.
I think J.C. is right on with Toxic people. He was better today though, almost like he is reading my blog. He said he gets down on himself and usualy when he is upset he is upset with himself. He also has trouble getting along with the woman partner. And since the person last week that he said tried to sabotage him was also a woman it makes me wonder if has trouble taking orders and learning from women.
When I am around negative people I start getting negative. I had a good day today as the same female partner that he has a hard time getting along with said when she reviewed one of my tax returns "another perfect return." and later "I just marked on the transmittal form that is an e-file. That's all, it goes to processing."

The evil side of me wants to friend the Pope and put links to dating sites on his page.
I never view either as old or cranky. You one of the most positive people I know. And with the huge responsibility with your Mom your are entitled to being cranky sometimes.
I was kind of appalled at the snake story too.
And it is amazing that all the woman had was a sprained anke.
