How Can I Improve My Blog?

Hi there everyone. Not much to write about today but thought I would throw this out there for some feedback. I'd like to improve my blog and would like to know what the people posting here would like from my blog.

Would you like more links?

More talk about my personal life?

More talk about movies and TV shows?

More political talk?

More news?

More humor?

More talk about Mom?

More talk about dating?

More pictures?

More talk about the book that I am writing?

More talk about family dynamics?

More referral to other blogs?

More tests? For example, personality tests.

This is your chance to help me improve. I'd like to know what you all would like. Feel free to post anything that you might want from a blog.

Hope this day goes well for all of you.

LOL! I'm enjoying your blog a lot and would be happy with any or all of the things you mention. Just keep posting about whatever interests you and I think the rest of us will be perfectly happy.

Not very helpful, right? Sorry.

Hi Pat

Actually it was very helpful. Sometimes I want to post things about what is going on on other blogs but struggle whether or not I will offend the blog owner with my comments. There is one now where a lady is on a mission to find "the one" within 90 days, she is filming all of her dates, and then showing the video of the dates on the internet. I thought about writing about that but didn't want to offend her since I see nothing but holes with that approach. Plus you just never know who is reading the blog.

I think what makes a blog a good blog is what YOU enjoy. What do you like writing about? Don't try to please everyone else, just write what is on your mind for that day, whether it's about TV or about your Mom or the political correctness of spiders. Just what is important to you.

Readership will wax and wane, but if you stay true to yourself, it won't matter. You're doing this because YOU want to, not because of what I want to read or what anybody else wants to read.

(At least that's been my philosophy the past 8 years)

Hello Bill, What would I like to read on your blog? All of the same and more. I love reading your blog. I would not come to read if it weren't interesting to me. I have a few I frequent but found only two that I love enough to post comments. So keep up the good posting!
p.s. now you have me curious on the "lady with the 90 day mission"
:)

Just this once, I'll cast my vote with the majority. This is YOUR blog - write about what you feel like writing on any give day. After all, that's what a blog is for! You're doing this for yourself, aren't you?

Hi Bev

Thanks for the good advise. You are our blog mentor!

I do write for myself but sometimes I think I'm to boring and would like to spice up my writing a bit and make it interesting to the ones that give up part of their day to post here.

Hi Dona

Thanks for the really nice comments. I am really flattered that you take the time to come her and both post and read.

As to the 90 mission I will email you about it. I'm just not that comfortable posting here.

Thanks for your input. I do write for me but if it bores me on certain days it is bound to bore others and I was just curious about what people might want to read about.

You are not boring! Knowing you in person, the only thing I wish is that you'd let more of your sense of humor come through. You're one of the funniest people I know, when you want to be, and that doesn't always come through here.

Other than that, just keep on doing what you're doing. I always enjoy reading what you have to say and learning about your life.

Mary

Thanks for you input. I know my humor seems to missing these days and I am on a mission to find it. I looked under the couch, in the trunk of the car, on google but it has really gone into hiding.

I actually agree with you, I do need to show my fun side a lot more here. Thanks for confirming that.

I'll never forget you hosting over twenty of us a week after you had a baby!

You have had my admiration since then.

I think your blog defines who you are. You blog what you wish to blog about not some pre-written script. If you worry too much about what others may want to read, you forget what you wish to write about..my two cents anyway.

Thank you for your two cents my blog pretty much defines who I am except as Mary pointed out I am much funnier in person. I really appreciate her saying that because it gives me a goal for showing more of my humorous side.

How about more nudity and sex? Just kidding, Bill.... It's great as is.

LISA

The last time I was nude somebody wanted iron me. I also prefer to write about things I know about and that rules out sex.

Thanks for the nice compliment.

Hope all is well with you and yours.

I personnally, am glad you declined the nudity and sex request (yeah, I know she was joking :))... but unexpected nudity and/or sex would put me in a tail spin for sure!! :)~

Fondly, K

Hi Kaye

Thanks for the affirmation.

And showing my tail in public would cause the world to spin.

I only get time to drop by now and again Bill, but I *always* enjoy what I read. So I agree with others - carry on doing what you're doing! But I can empathise with the days when one just doesn't have much to say - I find that with my blog!

Hi Sian

Nice to see you here. There are a lot of days when I don't have much to say. Those really are then hard days.
