The Busy Week Starts

Hi there everyone. Just to let everyone know that I probably won't be posting as much the next couple of weeks as I have been. Today we are getting unexpected company from South Dakota, tomorrow is our casino day, Wednesday is the day Mom moves, and Sunday I am taking a small trip to Ashland for a few days. I might post Thursday to tell how the move went and I will check in from time to time and if time allows post a message or two. I just didn't want anyone to worry if I disappeared from the blog for a few days or for a couple of weeks.

I'm really looking forward to me time and some worry free time with Mom safely in place.

Hope for the best for all you!

One of the places that I am going Bev and Pat have been to, it is one of my favorite little cities, Ashland, Oregon. It has a great Shakespearan Festival, a neat Caberet Theatre, A great park, and a fun downtonw. Every time I go there I feel refreshed.

Thanks for your nice comment.

Hi Dona

The company is a cousin who lost his wife to cancer last year and wants to see mom. Should be a good visit.

Thanks for the nice comments!

Please do try to post on Thursday, as I will be on pins & needles until I hear how the move went. And will wonder how the days after the move are going, too.

Other than that, enjoy your company, win lots at the casino, and especially enjoy your "me" time. You deserve it.

Hi Pat

I will post on Thursday. We are stopping there on the way back from the casino tomorrow to check out the room. I have a hunch we really aren't going to know how it goes for a while and even another hunch that if mom likes it she won't tell us.

Then I really am looking forward to some good night's sleep without the constant worry of a phone call in the middle of the night.

Your comment about the phone call in the middle of the night reminds me... I've been having the oddest sensation lately. I get all comfy on the couch at night to watch tv, and this nagging thought surfaces that I hope I don't get one of "those" phone calls just when I'm into a show. It's been a year since my mom was in any condition to make one of those calls, so I wonder where this is coming from all of a sudden now. Odd, huh?

Have a very, very good week and some well-deserved break time.

I don't think it is odd you just could be very much in tune with the world around you. And you could get a phone call about your mom from a caregiver, for example. Those are the kind of dreams I have, not really mom calling but someone calling me about her.

Okay, by now Mom is hopefully moved in and settled and you're preparing to head out to Ashland. I look forward to your next message and hope you truly do put your concerns in a drawer at the house and enjoy your "ME" time, as you've had darned little of that in the last few years. Drive safe and have fun!

Hi DR

If I can figure out how to do it I am going to post some pictures tomorrow of the place that I took today. Mom is spending her first night there tonight. I'm optimistic with resevations.
