Dancing With The Stars

Tonight on ABC from 8-11 p.m. (7-10 central time) they will announcing this season's lineup for Dancing With The Stars. The regular shows will be intterupted with announcements from beginning of prime time until the end.

The rumors have been many as to who the celebs will be. Here are some of the rumors that I've heard, my odds of the rumor being true in parenthesis:

Stevie Wonder (50-1) the famous pop sinter.

Cindy McCain (100,000-1) Senator John McCain's Wife.

Donny Osmond (50-1) Can he fit in Dancing While doing a Las Vegas Show?

Football Hall of Famer, Lawrence Taylor (1-1) (Ashton Kutcher started this rumor on his blog after the Super Bowl)

Sexiest man alive, Austrailian Actor Hugh Jackman (5-1)

The View's Sherri Shepherd (25-1)

Misty May-Treanor returning this year affter having to quit last season (100-1)

Stevie O from JACKASS. (2-1)

Model Heidi Klum from PROJECT RUNWAY (40-1)

Former CHEERS actress Kirstie Alley (10-1)

Paula Abdul (100,000-1)

Britney Spear's ex Kevin Federline (50,000-1)

Often ABC will put out false rumors to keep the true names hidden until the official announcement. Maybe one or three of the above list will make it but I think this is a false list put out by ABC. The name that I haven't heard as rumored to be on but think she very well could be is Alica Menshaw from All My Children.

Who are you dancing with today? I'm not dancing with anybody today but right now the plans are to take Mom and the caregiver to NEW IN TOWN.

Hope you all will dance happily through this week!

I'm not dancing this coming week, either. I need to do my tax organizing, having done my mother's yesterday. Book group on Monday, then nothing too pressing until an outing to visit the studio of a local artist on Thursday. Mom visits, of course, and I really must get her doctor/health insurance stuff organized. Must do it this week, as next week is full, full, full.

That is the most uninspiring list of possible dancers I can imagine. Wouldn't mind looking at Hugh Jackman, and Kirstie Alley might be fun, but the others? No interest at all. I'd put Stevie Wonder at the same odds as Cindy McCain.

Hi Pat

It is a very unispiring list and that makes me think it is a dummy list. Stevie Wonder has been quoted by several sources as saying he wants to do the show. That is why his odds are low.

You have to much on your platter! Postpone some stuff until next week.

Hi Bill! You got one right!

I just saw the final list, and the only one I ever heard of is Steve Wozniak. Who is no doubt very smart, but I doubt he'll be much of a dancer. Ho Hum.

Hie Bill! You had to have heard of the Go Go's "We've Got The Beat" Belinda Carlysle was lead singer. Denise Richards was a Bond Girl and married to Charlie Sheen.....Jewel is a very famous singer.....David Allen Grier is a very famous comedian...I think he was on In Living Color too...

Hi Pat

Steve Wozniak is the co-founder of Apple. Sort of the Paul Allen of MicroSoft. Everyone has heard of Jobs and Gates but few have heard of Wozniak and Allen. Wozniak will be another Mark Cuban.

Hi Lisa

I've heard of most of them except Stevie O because I don't watch Jackass. Belinda as she is one of my favorits. And I followed the out of control divorce between Sheen and his ex. And I've alway admired Jewel's writing as much as her singing. I've also heard of her husband.

Should be an interesting season.

Hi Lisa

Thanks for the You Tube. She is younger than I remember her!

Yes, I know who Wozniak is. Smart guy. On her last season's show, he was actually dating Kathy Griffin. Talk about mismatched couples! He's not built for dancing, but sometimes they can fool you.

Hi Pat

I didn't know he was dating Kathy, she is going to in Portland next week for a one night concert.

Steve could surprise us with his dancing but my guess he is going to more Mark Cuban than more Warren Sapp.

I'll be dancing in my seat when we get on the road Wednesday AM. Until then, I'll be running in circles, I suspect, if today was an indication.

Saw the ortho - Mom managed to get from apt to car with walker, but her knee gave out on the way into the clinic and we got a chair. Things moved at warp speed, when Dr. R saw her in the chair and had her do a couple "exercises" with walker. He gave her two choices: have knee replacement, which he considers quite possible, if her cardio agrees, or live in pain the rest of her life and accept she'll be in a wheelchair pretty much permanently within six months. Whoa! Prior to this, we've been told she wasn't even a candidate for the surgery. Add to that the fact she's adamantly refused any sort of surgery since the bypass. Apparently, the constant pain and lack of mobility the last several months have changed her mind. At the moment, the plan is for her to go to AZ with Deb, return in a month, see the cardio, if he says go, she and I will attend Joint Clinic (they want a family member there) for three weeks, she'll have surgery the end of April and we then decide if she goes to rehab, is able to come stay with us or Deb comes back for four to six weeks.

This has to be playing havoc with Deb's frustrations and indecisions we discussed very breifly yesterday and now that Deb's opened up a tiny bit, I'm feeling more sympathy and understanding than frustration (altho that's still there) and resentment. She's paying a heavy price for decisions she didn't make a couple years ago and it can't be easy.

Meantime, the nurse got testy about the fact she had no forms on file to share Mom's information and should have sent Deb and I out of the room while she talked to Mom. Mom told her she wouldn't talk to anyone if I wasn't there. So, talk to bank in AM, then Deb (who's coming up here to use the computer) and see if we can get living will and Medical Directive (on which Deb is secondary) witnessed and notarized tomorrow afternoon, before we leave.

So, I'll dance through vacation and the few weeks Mom's in AZ/CA, then do a different dance for the following month, if all remains equal. It's a happening place around here (wry s).

We leave early Wednesday AM (I cannot convince Himself that vacation doesn NOT mean being on the road before 8:00 and driving until 6:00, but I'll be working on that over the next year). I'll try to check in tomorrow night, but I may not be back her until the 17th or so. If not, y'all behave yourselves and know I'm thinking of all of you and wishing you were on the road and escaping with us.

Hi DR

Sorry it took so long to response with the weather and the job life just got in the way.

I hope you see this before leaving Wednesday AM but know I wish you and Himself a great time and also know you will me missed!

I'm hoping that your mom will do the knee replacement and the surgery goes will in April!

Deb is finally getting a dose of what life has been like for you which I don't think is a bad thing.

I hope you got the will and advanced directive notarized!

Tell Himself Vacations are more than driving!
