Good Dogs, Good Women, & Good Giuys.

"We all can't be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the sides and clap as they go by." Author unknown

The answer to yesterday's quote of the day was the incredible Rosa Parks. If you didn't get the answer you deserve a spot in The Dahn Report Hall of Shame. Today we are doing good stories:

The good animal story:

The good woman story:

If you don't know who Mila Kunis is in 2010, she won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor or Actress at the 67th Venice International Film Festival for her performance as Lily in Black Swan. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for the same role. She was ranked No. 81 on the FHM U.S 100 Sexiest Women in the World in 2008.

The good man story:

Love the idea of kids reading to dogs. It should make them enjoy reading practice and I'm sure the dogs love the attention, though they probably don't care much about book choice.

I'm not familiar with Mila Kunis, but I hope she has a wonderful time at the Marine Corps Ball, and I hope Sgt. Moore has an even better time. She's apparently a good sport, and she gets a bonus of a lot of good publicity, so it's all good.

Ah, reading on, I see she's in BLACK SWAN, which is in my queue but I haven't seen it yet. Daughter and SIL tell me it's awful.

"Building his own Bugatti" is a bit of a cheat, since the car still has the original Mercury engine. But I have to say it does look good. It would be fun if somebdy stole it thinking it was the real thing. Quel disappointment! {eg}

Like the quote.

I'd heard/read about the reading-to- dog program somewhere and I think it's a wonderful idea. Most kids love dogs and, as pointed out, they're non-judgmental of wrong words.

As an aside, Robin Perry, a multi-published author and photo journalist always read his manuscripts to his cat. If the cat walked away, he figured he needed to fix something (G). True story.

God for Kunis for accepting the invitation to the ball. And good for the guy for asking her. I hope they both have a great time. I also hope it means tickets for the ball will be sold out.

Got to give the guy building the bugatti clone points for creativity and engineering. Car sure looks good, even it if doesn't match the speed of the original (but who would want to?

Hi Pat

It would be great if someone stole the car and then entered it in a race against same model cars!

I also love the kids reading to dogs. Not only to they learn more, it teaches them compassion of animals.

Saying THE BLACK SWAN is awful is giving the movie a break. It would have to improve to be awful. It shuld be X-Rated. It is really weird, I think whomever wrote it is one sick dude. What just drives me nuts is THE BLACK SWAN got an R rating, same as THE KING'S SPEECH which was not only a much better movie but shouldn't never had been given an R rating.

Hi DR

The dog progam can only benefit both the boy and the animal. It will teach the kids more than reading.

Interest about Robin Perry. Somehow that makes me like him.

The guy asked Kunis on a bet. He didn't think there was any chance that she would accept. I hope it is a stunning evening for everyone at the ball.

The car looks great. I sure wouldn't want to go the original speed.

You would probably have liked Robin. He was a professional photographer, writer and photo-journalist. Also a pilot and was still doing flight instruction when he died of a heart attack, mowing his yard, at the age of 82. He was also an eccentric, but lovable, in spite of the fact. He was the son of Adm. Perry, but was raised by his maternal grandfather. The stories he told should have been a book of its own.

Hi DR

IF he was an eccentric then I know I would love him. They are just so fun and knowledgable to talk to.
