Let's Talk

Mom keeps on improving. One of the problems she had was that she bruised her chest when she was ill rom her upset stomach. After some ice packs that is now gone. As to the other she is about 98% nd I think she will be back to normal soon. I am taking her out to lunch today because I think it will be good to get her some fresh air.

Work was amazing this week. I am processing the tax returns faster than I did last year. I think I have slowed down just a little but because I am more familiar with the clients that makes up for the slight slow down. I was blown away yesterday by a surprise four year anniversary party. The receptionist fixed a free lunch for everyone there. I received a $35 gift card & a greeting card signed by everyone. I especially liked two comments. The first one was made by Mary, my boss: "your sense of humor & your outlook make you a valued member of our team." And from Barbara, the lady that reviews my returns: "There are pros and cons of tax season and you are one of the "pros". Now that my ego is sufficiently stroked, mom is getting better, and week two of work is on the horizon it is time to get down to business.

Let's talk. Let's talk about others. It is good for our health:

Have you ever worn a ponytail? Got any extra hair you don't need? Here is a good place for it:

Have you even been to Paris? Neither have I but I loved the following pictures:

Comment Away.

I'm glad you're getting your due in appreciation at work, Bill. That really makes it all worthwhile, doesn't it? It's lovely to hear that your mom is well on the way back to normal.

Interesting about the gossip. Sometimes there's a fine line between "good" and "not so good" gossip. And who knew the mere ponytail could give such impressive scientific information. It's hard for a non-scientist like me to see practical applications, but I'll take their word that the info is useful.

Great vintage photos. I love the joy on the face of the singing girl with the organ grinder.

Hi Pat

This firm really treats their employees well. It really is the ideal situation for me. Close to home and being appreciated.

Good point about there being good and bad gossip. Backstabbing destroys many a relationship.

I was surprised about the hair.

And I loved the singing girl with the organ grinder too. It was my favorite.
