Walk This Way

Apparently the way you walk can predict future mental health:

Since we started off the day with a health note let's continue. Reversing heart problems:

And let's end with another health article:

Hmmm... I think I have a fairly strong grip when I choose to exercise it. I like to give (and get) a firm handshake, though not the kind that almost breaks bones--those are just guys showing off. {g}

I think my walking rate is somewhere in the middle, not fast, not slow. Perhaps I should work on walking faster?

I love all the new info about stem cells and what they can do. I'm only sorry I came along at a time when I probably won't live long enough to enjoy the fruits of all this research.

But we do have aspirin, which is turning out to be kind of a wonder drug in many ways.

Hi Bill, didn't get to the blog all weekend and missed the posts on the lawsuit with mom. I cannot believe it. I also figured that once things were sold, gone on to the other owner there would be nothing they could come back to previous owners with....but I don't claim to know everything. :) I can see why you were so upset. I hope you keep us informed on how your bro is handling it. I hope you don't have to go crazy on them....but I am thinking I need you and your bro in my court when it comes to legal matters?

I also feel for you worrying about your moms insulin and trying to go out and find it. Glad you thought of a good alternative. Living with diabetes can be a whole other ballgame somedays, which is what we are finding out.

I also think I am a slower walker these days than what I used to be, so I think I also should step it up a bit. I always wondered why my doc would test my grip each visit...funny I never thought to ask why...

Encouraging news, all around. I just wish it was all available NOW, of course.

I think I have a fairly firm grip. When I'm by myself, I walk relatively fast; when with others, I adjust my pace to theirs, so it varies.

Yea! for aspirin. I used to take it for heart prevention, but the docs pulled me off, as it was thought to be the cause of the excessive purple bruises, whenever I merely brushed against something. Maybe I should check again, when I next see Dr. B.

Hi Pat

My grip needs a ton of improvement as does my walking speed. Maybe we can improve our walking speed together!

I just wish there wasn't so much negativity about stem cell research from some people. Like you I probably won't live long enough to enjoy the fruits of the research but you never know. We have long life histories in our families.

I take an aspirin a day. At night before I go to bed because I heard it was the most effective then.

Hi Dona

I just appreciate you and appreciate whenever you can get to the blog! Usually when things are sold you do move on. But that is if the proper paper work is filed. Just a lesson in not doing it yourself. I will keep you informed on the lawsuit. And I don't know about bro but I would be happy to help you anytime!

Living with diabetes is a challenge. From the little things like not buying Girl Scout cookies to the big things like not breaking your insulin.

My doctor never tests my grip I am going to talk to him about it. In the meantime I am going to work on it.

Hi DR

I also wish that the amazing things that they are finding in the health area would be immediately available to all of us.

My walk also varies. I am going to work on speeding it up now and improve my grip also.

There may be a substitute for aspirin that has the same effects without the bruising. Do check with Dr. B.
