Award Season Is Here!

Award season has started!! As you know I am huge fan of award shows. Love them. Love the glitz and glamour. Recently both The Golden Globe and The Screen Actors Guild announced their nominations. Before giving you the nominations I want to seek out your advise. I always am interested in what type of things the readers here like me to write about. I am considering picking ten posts this year and have you vote on them as the favorite post of the year. Of course if you wanted to vote on one of the posts not nominated, write-in votes would be allowed. Good idea or bad idea?

Now on to the nominations.

The Screen Actors Guild Nominations for their show that will air live from Los Angeles on TNT and TBS on Sunday, January 23rd, 2010. The key: W= Will Win. S= Should win. I= I want to win.

I think that would be a great idea. Being new to this site, I am still trying to get a feel for what you write. So if there were a potential top ten, theoretically I'd have a nice cross section to peruse without having to search.

Yes.. I am lazy.

Hi, MJ. Welcome.

And Bill, if you're going to do this, please pick a Top Ten, as otherwise I'd have to spend weeks reading back through everything to come up with a top fave.

I don't share your love of award shows, though I do watch Oscar and Emmy, sometimes the Golden Globes. This year, I am even less interested than usual because the only movie I've seen is JULIE & JULIA. I'll see most of them eventually, just not in a timely manner or in a theater.

Having said that, I have a few favorites in the group. I've been fond of Colin Firth ever since he did Mr. Darcy in Pride & Prejudice, and I hear he is amazing in A SINGLE MAN.

I'm also quite fond of Simon Baker, so I hope he wins for MENTALIST. Oh, and I also like Patricia Arquette in MEDIUM. There are a few others I like a lot, but I suspect none of my wish list will win. Nor do I care much.

SAG is giving an award for a whole CAST?? That's a new one.

Hi Pat

Not very many people like award shows as much as I do!

The entire cast is really the SAG's version of best movie.

And I would pick ten posts that I like and you could vote on those but I would allow others that had favorites other than those ten to write am in too! It just depends on how many want me to do it!
