I'm Scared.

I haven't been totally honest with the folks here. I haven't really lied just kept quiet about some problems I have been having. To say I am scared stiff would be an understatement. I see a heart doctor this morning. Mom's six month apppointment is today so I piggy backed on her appointment. I have been under incredible stress for a number of years with different issues, caregiving, cancer scares, accidents, deaths in the family, and numerous changes. When I walk I sometimes get short of breath, which is new to me. My upper arms hurt a bit when I walk. Frequently when I test my blood pressure with one of those home testing machines I get the little irregular heartbeat sign. I am asking all your prayers and good thoughts and good vibes that they don't discover anything serious. Wish my some amazing luck that if they do something that it is curable with more exercise or lifestyle changes. Hope that I am just overreacting. It would certainly be appreciated by me. That is all I have for today.

Answeer to yesterday's practice questions:

Sarah Goode was the first African-American to receive a patent.

Edith Houghton was the first woman baseball scout.

The Italian-born Mother Frances Xavier Cabrini was the first American saint.

Today's practice questions:

1. Who was the first womano conduct an orchestra on Broadway?

2. I share an actresses name but I didn't act when I was the first woman to walk on the North Pole. Who Am I?

3. What is Sally Jean Priesand famous for?

Hi Bill, nice to meet you.

For a while now I have been following your blog. I have found that you have a funny, caring, giving, loving, wild, crazy, smart & extremely lucky side to what seems to be a very well liked person all around. So it was shocking, yet refreshing to know you are as human as the rest of us. :)
I think we are all a bit scared at some point in our lives. Whether it be for health reasons or other. So here is hoping you find that the symptoms you are having are indeed something that can be cured with nothing more than exercise or simple lifestyle changes. Nothing but good vibes, thoughts and prayers coming your way.

Keep us posted.

I really must start reading your blog earlier in the day.

Bill, you've got all my prayers and lots of positive energy headed your way, even though you've already seen the doc. Please let us know what you find out.

Dona, you pretty well described "our Bill" and all his aspects. I've known him a dozen years or more, even met him face to face, and love him like a brother. And he is, believe me, a most human sort of fellow. Do stick around and join up, please?

Thanks for the report, Bill. Glad the EKG was good. Will continue to hold prayers and good vibes for the stress test.

Thanks for the clarification on Dona. I recognized the name, but when she said she'd been "following the blog" I thought she might be a "lurker" who finally came out to play. Sorry, Dona. THere are days the brain goes to the ether, it seems.

Hi DR

The first thing I did when I got home was go for a walk. I am now officially in training for the stress test.

I thought you might be kidding and going along with Dona's humor about just meeting one side of me.

Thanks for caring and thanks even more for the lovely email.

Bill, I got here late today, but of course you have all my good vibes and wishes. All you have to do is ask. I'm glad to see your EKG looked fine. I'll hope for the same for the stress test, and that your symptoms are strictly from stress and the other worries you've had for all too long.

But don't think you're alone. I'll go with Dona in assuring you that we're all scared at some point, if not a lot of points in our lives. I don't want to minimize anything, as I know how hard it can be to deal with. Even with worries, you're funny, and I'm glad to see you are now in training for the stress test. I know I'd have to train to pass one these days.

Remember there are a lot of people pulling for you to pass with flying colors.

Bill, glad to hear all was good with the EKG. Nothing but good vibes still coming your way with the stress test. Keep us posted.

Sorry DR, that you thought I was a newbie. Sort of my fault, starting with that "nice to meet you" phrase. In my head, it was funny at the time....I tend to forget everybody doesn't really know what is going on in my head.

It just seemed like I didn't think Bill could be scared of anything seeing how he has gone through so much. He seems so together from what I read. So it was like meeting someone new.

Bill, of course I'm coming in a day late and a dollar short. But I'm so glad the EKG came through okay. Please keep us posted how you're doing, and let me know if you need anything at all, okay? Hugs to you, my friend.
