The Drawing Was Held & The Winner Is

At precisely 10:15 AM Pacific Daylight Time at the home of Mom in Oregon, supervised by the accounting firm of William J. Dahn, CPA, PC seven letters were chosen, to verify that all seven letters where in the box, by Mom in the following order:

Connie

DR

Mary

Kaye

Dona

Mary Z

Pat

Connie Gets her first choice of prizes. DR gets the second choice of prizes. If any prizes are refused the next person on the list gets the choice.

This was such great fun I am sure we will have another contest at some point in the future. In the meantime following Pat's suggestion we will have a question of the day. They will be trivia questions, I.Q. type questions, three in common questions, name this person questions and so on.

Congratulations to the winners of the pull-out-of-the hat, and I'm glad to hear that fairness was assured by the supervision of a noted CPA firm. The contest was indeed a lot of fun, and good brain exercise as well. I'm glad to hear there will be continuing questions of the day. Keep us on our toes!

Hi Pat

I'm trying to gain experience so I can send my resumes to the Oscars!

This group here is really smart and it hard to find questions to challenge people!!

Thanks for the fun and the challenges, Bill. Glad to hear you're going to periodically throw some more our way.

Thanks to Mom for pulling my name out of the hat. I emailed my request.

Now, where are we on the Kindness Count?

Hi DR

I'm at 65 on the kindness count. Saturday and Sunday I've planned to spend each daying doing kind things all day so we are easily going to make 100. Thanks to you and your husband, Dona and Her husband. Not to mention everyone here, several strangers, several relatives and mom.

To date three dogs have been rescued from bad situations, a parpalegic had his laundry folded, a thousand dollars loaned to a family member, papers moved from the sidewalk to front doors in a retirement community (they spent a morning doing it), visits to nursing homes, rides given so a dad could see his daughter in a play (no car would have had to walk and miss most of the play). taking young girls on a camping trip, several elderly folks helped, a coffee mug given to an eldery resident, and the list is never ending.

PS

About 12 years ago a doctor saved mom's eyesight. Today mom sat down and wrote him a letter thanking him and telling the D. Dryer how he impacted her life. A 93 year old woman that can't get out found a way to brighten someone's day.

Your comment about your mom writing to the doc reminded me. I keep thinking of writing to the doc who did my ankle surgery and telling him what a good job he did and how well it has turned out for me. He was just luck of the draw and the surgeon who was working that day, so I lucked out.

I'm going to write him this week!
