Exciting Wednesday

Yesterday was boring, today we are going to try to do exciting. Nothing more exciting than swimming with sharks:

Finding unexpected cash is pretty exciting, no?

Suing a school district because of their stupid decisions, can be exciting, right?

Good grief! Swimming with sharks is not something I ever want to risk trying. I once read that they bite out steak-sized chunks. By the photo in the first story, it's a pretty darned big steak. I hope the shark didn't enjoy it. It's kind of amazing that the guy could just swim away and escape.

Would I stop and scramble for bills? No, I don't think so. But I suppose it would depend on the conditions. Is there much traffic? Are a lot of people already scrambling and grabbing? How large denominations are the bills? I don't think I'm poor enough to get into the fray, but I can sure understand some people wanting to.

The child's walker collapsed? They are not supposed to do that. They should get her a better walker and then leave her alone.

Swimming with sharks isn't on my bucket list. The picture makes it amazing the guy survived to tell the tale.

Scrambling for bills... probably not. First, dangerous in the traffic described. My life is worth more than a few hundred bucks (altho, I admit five grand would be a welcome windfall), especially since I'd be honor bound to return it. I should be hurt or killed rescuing someone else's money? I think I'd call the police and continue on.

The story of the child's walker is appalling. If that's what she needs, in order to function in the real world, I can see no reason for the school to forbid it. I do see a reason to contact the manufacturer and find out why it collapsed and demand a replacement. I also think the mom is right to stand up to the school's authorities. Although there aren't a lot of details, it does sound as if demanding the child not use the walker is the equivalent of denying her education in that venue.

Swimming in chocolate is on my bucket list but not swimming with sharks. The picture made me think the guy is living with a lucky charm.

I wouldn't stop for cash. It is stupid to risk your life and limb for a few bucks. Now I might risk my life to save Bill Gates.

I agree with you. Get her a better walker and let her be.

Hi DR

None of us are going to swim with Sharks or Scramble with bills. I am not sure which one is more dangerous. Of course five grand would be a windfall but it would pale in comparison to hospital bills if you were hurt. I would also return it.

The story of the child is a real head shaker. The school forbidding the walker when there are much better solutions (like Pat's buy her a walker and leave her alone). The mom is protecting her child, good for her. And she is being denied an education.
