Inflatable Friday

Ah, it is Friday! Friday is a day that has different meanings when you are working then when you are not. When you are not working it is just like any other day of the week. But when you are working it is the end of the week and the start of the weekend. It means I can sleep in. At least it means that tonight but not so much tomorrow night when we have to do the stupid semi-annual frustration of messing with our clocks. Clocks around the houses and body clocks. Spring forward, fall back. Officially it is 2:00 AM Sunday morning when you move your clocks an hour forward. I plan on doing that Saturday night before I go to bed. I am so excited about losing an hour because it will give me less time to do the twenty-six items on my to do list. I need to complete tax returns for a first cousin and a second cousin so they know I haven't forgotten. I think I might ad a twenty-seventh item to my to do list. Find the idiot that came up with the idea of daylight savings time and make him watch one hundred hours of The Brady Bunch reruns.

Speaking of overkill:

I am glad we all survived the following:

As a single man I always say I have high standards in the women I would like to date. They have to be between 30 & 99 and not inflatable. I might change that to include inflatable at some point. Maybe I will start with someone like the woman in the following article:

Handcuffing 11 year olds does seem a bit extreme. But the article lacks any real information. Maybe it was a wakeup call. Maybe it worked. Maybe the cops will be sued. Probably all around not a good idea, but what's an ass't principal to do when a kid goes too far? Suspension/expulsion are probably the only recourse, and the kid might actually like that.

I've been hearing reports of big solar flares and their possible harm to our technology, but so far nothing seems to have happened anywhere I can see it. These solar storms are supposed to affect the aurora borealis and make it possible to be seen in unusual places. That sounds like a Good Thing to me. Wish they could be seen here!

Hatsune might be just the girl for you, though it might be hard to cuddle with her at night. At least she wouldn't clutter your bathroom with makeup and your closet with shoes. {g}

First, quick comments on yesterday's post (I spaced out last night). Men have worn tights throughout the ages and, while I don't see men in pantyhose, I do understand the desire for one more layer of warmth beneath pants in many climates.

Heartwarming story about Kennie Namba. He sounds like quite a man. Thanks for sharing.

As to today, I agree with Pat. There was a lot of information, but cuffing middle school students as a general policy seems a bit extreme to me. Then again, we have no clue what "attitude" was involved.

Know zilch about solar flares, so don't know it that article was hype or fact or valid warning.

Uh, I don't think you're ready for inflatables yet, Bill. While they may have some positives, as Pat pointed out, I can't picture them as particularly cuddly nor imagine them holding intelligent conversations (g).

Hi Pat

I guess I am on the side of no matter what handcuffing an 11 year old is bad policy.

The solar storm was a lot like Y2K a lot of buildup but nothing actually really happened. I would have loved for them to be seen where we live!

I am fine with a cluttered bathroom or closets. I am just not ready for talking during movies or football games.

Hi DR

We all deserve a good space out night once in a while. I am glad you are back with us!

Tights are one thing but the picture in the article looked a little uncomfortable to me. Namba really is an unsung hero.

I guess I think no matter what cuffing someone that young is just bad policy. If they get the cuff to tights they could ruin the circulation in her wrists for quite a while.

The solar flares were fact. They just didn't cause as much damage as expected. Went by with nobody knowing they were there until they told us about them.

I am all for intelligent conversation, just not during movies or football games.
