Luck

There is good luck:

How would you have reacted? I'm not sure what I would have done but I suspect I would have thought it was a ruse or a scam and done nothing. I'm glad the person didn't get me on the phone.

There is bad luck:

Trying to help someone and you land in jail. I would have been so ticked! How about you?

What has you luck been like lately? Good or bad? Mostly mine has been good but there still is that Powerball jackpot that keeps avoiding me.

Enter this drawing for a free weekend and fabulous art festival in Chattanooga. Maybe you'll get lucky.

Good luck on the Chattanooga festival, Bill! And the Power Ball, too. I know you'll share if you get the Big Prize. {g}

I'd have done the same as the student if I had gotten that call. And IF I had realized it was for real. I like to think I would have, but it's hard to know.

As to the second one, talk about bad luck! False arrest is a horrible thing, and I just heard of yet another case where police and SWAT broke into the wrong house and scared the poor inhabitants to death. They were quietly watching TV when all hell broke loose. Fortunately nobody was hurt, but do you sense a lawsuit?

Bill, I'm so glad you keep finding the "feel good stories." The one about the woman and the student is pretty incredible and the student had to think fast on her feet. Bless her. As to the "bad luck" story - I sure hope they get that arrest off her record. What a fiasco and all because of faulty bookkeeping at a medical facility, which is pretty scary.

I'd say luck is running good ahead of bad, altho there've been some marginal times in the past few months. I could use bit more "good" at the moment, but can't complain, compared to the rest of the world.

Hi Pat

If I win a trip to the festival we both may going! Powerball will definitely share.

I just think the student used amazing judgement for someone her age.

I can't imagine how ticked I would be if SWAT broke down my door by mistake. There is no doubt in my mind that I would sue. I actually hope they do.

Hi DR

I hope you have the best luck ever from now on, the hack with the rest of the world!

Some days it is really easy to find positve stories, some days like tomorrow I might have to resort to a subject like women drivers.

The student is a hero in my book.

The woman's story about the rest scared me on so many levels. What about the handwriting being so bad that they give you the wrong meds?
I not only hope the women gets her arrest record expunged I hope the judge compensates her some way.

Mary Z, I couldn't find the free weekend drawing, but I sure enjoyed exploring the info about Chattanoogha and the options. Bill, if you get to Chattanoogha, you're too close to not come down here for a day or six. (g)
