Happy Saturday

Yesterday's president was John Quincy Adams. Trivia returns Monday.

We are only going to do happy things today. The first is a video from DanaRae that was sent to her by M.J.

I could watch this video over and over, it is just so down charming.

Next up is a happy sports story:

Good for Lopez for stepping up to the plate.

I am closing with a couple of good stories, all in one link:

Comment Away.

Love the goose story! I thought it was going to be that he was there when she came out of the egg and she "imprinted" on him. It's really unusual that she just glommed onto him for no apparent reason.

Very nice of George Lopez to buy those rings for the kids.

I only saw one story in that last link, and I sort of agree with the comments that said there were pieces missing. Like how did a ring a woman lost while cooking end up in police evidence?

I sooo like happy stories. Glad you enjoyed the goose (g).

Good job by Lopez! It's sad the kids couldn't afford the championship rings, after all their hard work to get to the top, but Lopez was a champ himself, providing the rings for all the team members. It's so nice to see someone giving back to a community from which they came.

The wedding ring thing - I would have looked to have known how it was lost, how it was found and why it was sitting in an evidence room. All of that would have interested me. And congratulations to the new bride and groom. Thirty years together and now they're married. Sounds like they've had a lovely life and I hope it continues for many years to come. They're so active - a wonderful example to anyone who says, "I'm too old to (whatever)." I suspect all that activity is what keeps them young. I've certainly seen it to be the case both in FUlir and in the Senior Action group.

Hi Pat

I also thought it was going to be an egg or another goose. I do wonder why him.

It makes me like Lopez more that he gave to his background.

There was a story a little further down about a man marry her sweatheart on her 100th birthday.

Hi DR

I love happy stories too but sometimes they are so darn hard to find.

The league should have pooled money from all the schools in the league so that whichever team won would be guaranteed rings. I'm glad Lopez corrected a wrong.

I would like to know how the ring ended up as police evidence and for what kind of case among other things. I also share your congratulation to the bride and groom. I'm to old replaces the words you can't as motivation as we age.
