Slow News Day

I'm late today because it has been a slow news day and finding any articles not about Weiners was difficult. First up. Did you know how you decorate your house could make you look older or younger?

I agree with the statement in the article that furniture you can't sit in not only makes the house look old but what is the point?

Did you ever wonder what the millionaires did with their tax cut?

Kudos to these millionaires for wanting to pay their fair share.

Even wonder what of the famous diets are the best? Now you will know:

Comment away.

PRESIDENTS:

Yesterday's president was Andrew Jackson, today's president was quoted as saying.

"All Americans must have the privileges of citizenship regardless of race." Born in 1908 and died in 1973 said this in a speech at a joint session of congress proposing a bill that would ban unfair voting restrictions that were being used to prevent blacks from voting. His first term in office was not an elected on but he was elected to his next term for six years in office. He could have ran again and completed ten years in office but he declined to run. He is one of only four people who served in all four elected federal offices of the United States: Representative, Senator, Vice President and President, If you know the number thirty-six you can answer the question, Which President Am I?

Not sure I'll be doing any redecorating to make myself look younger, but a couple of tips I can relate to. I really need to clean and streamline around here, and I hate overhead lighting.

I can't say I care what the millionaires have done with their tax windfalls, but I wish they had put more of it back into the economy. Let's hear it for the Patriotic Millionaires!

I can go with some of the stuff on re-designing the house, but I do want comfy furniture, always have. The chair didn't do a thing for me. I agree with the brighter paint colors. Now, if I could just convince Himself paint comes in something other than white (wry s).

As to the millionaires -- how about taking some of that found money and setting and maintaining food banks and clothing missions and half-way houses and programs to train those who've lost jobs and don't have the skill sets needed to qualify for new ones?

Diets? It's really pretty simple. A three page plan. Eat less. Exercise more, Repeat pages one and two. Diets are not about deprivation, they're about learning portion control and burning at least as many calories as you consume. It's really not a difficult concept, although it can be h*ll to implement!

Hi Pat

I also need to clean and streamline around here and I'm with you on overhead lighting. It is almost blinding.

I am glad some millionaires are stepping up to the plate.

Hi DR

I also want comfy furniture but what my sister does it buy comfy furniture then puts so many pillows on them that you can't sit on it.

I would love it if the millionaires would put the money in food banks and clothing missions.

I like your three step diet plan!
