The Season Of Miracles

First up on the to do list is a haircut. Off to the lawnmower shop as soon as I post this. Second on the to do list is taking mom to the eye doctor. Third on the list is cleaning the downstairs bathroom and the kitchen. It really is a miracle for me to have clean bathrooms and kitchens. That is why the call this the season of miracles.

QUOTE

Aaimee Semple McPherson authored yesterday's quote. "I'm for the individual as opposed to the corporation. The way it is the individual is the underdog, and with all the things a corporation has going for them the individual comes out banged on her head. The artist is nothing. It's really tragic" was authored by an actress who lived from 1926 to 1962. She died of an overdose of barbituates in 1962. Nevertheless, interest in her life and her story continues in popular culture and in feminist studies. She starred in many popular films. She married a playwright and later a baseball player. Have you ever waited at a BUS STOP? If so you can tell me which blonde bombshell authored today's quote.

A miracle! Scamp rose from the dead! Hallelujah! Probably people should be aware that it's not always easy to tell when a person or animal is no longer alive.

Wish I could claim officer Peck as a relative, but I can't. I admire him, however.

What a nice idea for the Secret (and not so secret) Santas to pay off people's layaways. When I was a teen, I remember almost every store doing layaways, but I don't think it was done in payments. I think you paid something down and then redeemed the item and paid it off all at once. Or maybe that was just how I did it and there were other plans.

Hi Pat

I agree they should bave been aware that the little thing's heart didn't stop. And although it turned out to be the right thing to do I am not sure I could live a pet of mine out in the cold.

Wouldn't it be cool to be related to the officer in the story!!

The payoff the lay away thing has went national. At one K-Mart here the news showed a line of about twenty people waiting to pay off layoff accounts for others.

We had law away at our Hardware store and then you pretty much paid when you wanted either monthly or all at one time. Of course my kind hearted parents often would give the stuff to them in time for Christmas even if the account wasn't paid.
