Look In Back, Looking Forward.

Are you wondering where Friday went?

http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/a/-/world/12470080/friday-disappears-in-samoa-s-great-leap-forward/

An unusual look back at 2011:

Let's look ahead to what is going to happen in 2012:

I disagree with the Republicans taking control of the house. I think just the opposite. They lose control. They are getting the blame, fair or not, by the independants for the stalemates. Independants rule the elections.

.............................................................................

We interrupt this blog entry to inform you that the rest of the blog will be all about me.

Maybe at some point I will do a personal summary of 2011 but I am looking forward today and here are my personal goals for 2012:

Finding a caregiver for Mom who values their commitment to us instead of just valuing the commitment until something better comes a long.

Increase my productivity at my seasonal job.

More travel.

Less anger.

More dating.

Less alone time.

More writing.

Less procrastination.

Better health.

Less complaining.

More thinking about myself.

Less time at Mom's

That is a start for me. What are your goals?

Comment Away.

So the Samoans lost Friday. Hmmm... I can think of the occasional day I'd like to lose. Too bad a person can't pick and choose.

Funny 2011 stories. Don't you wish you'd been one of the laid-off people that won the Lottery! But shoot, with 10 of them and only $7.1 million, maybe they'll still need a job. Guess it depends on their taste and desires. {g}

I have no idea whether this guy's predictions will turn out. I heard callers to a radio show where they believe in UFOs and other quesionable things doing some predicting last night. I somehow doubt all of them, especially those radio ones.

Regarding your own 2012, I wish I could send you the caregiver I had for my mother at night. I'm really hoping he finds another job soon. He sure has my recommendation!

I have no goals for 2012 except to still be around and feeling well. Everything else will take care of itself. Or I hope it will. I doubt any resolutions of mine would change anything important, so I'll just go with the flow.

Hi Bill,
Wishing you and everyone here a Happy New Year, and condolences to Pat.

I can only think it must be very strange to lose a day out of your life

Interesting 2011 stories, most of which I'd never heard. As to the 2012 predictions... hmmm.

I think I'll just adopt your resolutions, except the dating (G) and seeing Mom.

Seriously, rather than resolutions, I'm working with The Happiness Project, which you introduced here, adapting it my thoughts on changes I want to make and things I want to include or exclude from my life.

Wishing everyone here the a Happy and Healthy 2012. I have serious doubts I'll see the New Year in, having just returned from an 11 hour CWP class that started at 8:30 this morning, unless I get a second wind. Cheers!

Hi Pat

I can think of a few days I'd like to lose too! lol. I do wish we could pick and choose.

I would have loved to be one of the laid-off people off the lottery even though after taxes they probably didn't come out that well. Still a new car and maybe a new home.

I doubt most predictions, I shared his predictions because they were the most normal ones. Some weird Mayan predictions about 2012 made several years ago so I tubed those.

I wish your caregiver was here!

I like the goal to be around and well. The best one anyone can make.

Hi DR

What happens if you had appointments for a day and it disappeared!

I got tired of the normal best of 2011 lists and went for the unusual stories.

You can adopt my goals if you want! But I like the idea of the Happiness Project.

By the way I don't call them resolutions anymore, I call them goals. Resolutions are made to be broken. Goals are made to be met.

Wow what a long class! I did wake up to see the new year in.

Happy New Year to you and yours also.

Bill
