Leftovers

Saturday is a good day for leftovers. Starting out with the articles I didn't post yesterday.

We know it wasn't a man that found the lost colony. It is against the gender code to ask for directions. If we found the lost colony it would be purely by accident. In our behalf one reason we don't ask for directions is we know the world is round and we will eventually get there.

Do you like big things? Sometimes I do:

I'm good on the no makeup and not wearin pantihose.

I don't know much about lost colonies or asteroids, but I know a little bit about aging and how to deal with it, so here are my comments on their advice.

One thing I think is interesting is how runway models (or their designers) seem to choose the absolutely most UNflattering shoes and boots. But of course since they are six feet tall and weigh 12 lbs, they look pretty much okay in anything. Not for the likes of me, those ankle boots!

I have to admit I don't stay on top of trends. I may notice them, but usually don't rush to join them. As I get older, I go more for comfort than "slimming", so don't cinch my waist ever any more. Along the same comfort lines, no tights or pantyhose if I can possibly avoid them. Dark wash jeans, yes. Short and skinny jeans, no. Certainly not for a short person.

Don't like dark or bright red lipstick at all. Pink is okay, but I pretty much just stick to Chapstick.

Like the book title, "I feel bad about my neck", but hey, what are you gonna do? I am still wearing jeans from a long-ago time. Well, different long-ago times, so I have large, medium and small to choose from.

What's an LBD? They put it as a "timeless piece" and I guess I'm so out of fashion that I can't even identify it. Oh, wait! Could that be the famous "Little Black Dress"? Puzzled.

A leftover from yesterdays post, good vibes and prayers headed your way for mom. Hope she is better today.
As for dealing with aging, here is my 2 cents.
I already don't wear makeup, but don't think its helping me much. I wouldn't know a trend if it hit me in the face. Haven't worried about getting shoes with any kind of a heel since I was 18. My teeth are my teeth, and well whitening them just might take them over the edge. I'm with you Bill on the pantyhose. Dark Jeans for me with a Dark Shirt to go with please, and the eyebrow hair growth does sound tempting as the hair on my body seems to forget where it is supposed to grow as I have gotten older. But instead of paying for it maybe I can just transplant? :)

Hi Pat

You nailed LBD. I Googled it and it came up little back dress.

Interesting stuff about aging, none of what I knew of course as I am more of a colony and asteroid guy.

I'll admit I need to pay a lot more attention to the type of shoes I wear.

What is a trend? I obviously don't stay on top of trends either. I am with you comfort always wins out for me.

As an observer I don't like red lipstick on women.

Hi Dona

Hope things are well with you and the Shankster.

The prayers and vibes are working as mom had a really good day yesterday.

That makes three trendy blog people that don't pay attention to trends!

I beat dark jeans and dark shirt would look stunning on you.
