Discoveries.

With sister on her way to Dallas, Texas (they are driving) my days get a little busier. Over to Mom's to fix her lunch and then back this evening to cook dinner for the troops. Before starting my day away from home I am posting my blog entry today and it will be all about discoveries.

What you wouldn't want to discover in your chimney:

The intelligence level of some of future criminals never ceases to amaze me.

Now on to a discovery that interested me:

I wonder if we can learning anything important by discovering new islands.

On to the discovery of hidden meanings:

I will now play board games with a new interest and through a new lookout eye.

Comment Away.

QUOTE

Joan Wash Anglund authored yesterday's quote. "Women have got to make the world safe for men since men have made it so darned unsafe for women" was authored by a woman born in Virginia who married an English heir as her second husband. When her husband was elevated to the House of Lords she ran for his seat in Parliament, and became, in 1919, the first woman seated in the British Parliament. She supported women's rights and, during World War II, worked to keep up the morale of the British people and American troops stationed in the Plymouth area near her home. Who Authored today's quote?

I guess you're looking at a busy week or two (how long will sis be gone?). I hope it all goes well and isn't too wearing.

Getting stuck in a chimney seems to be fairly common for burglars. I guess they don't read the papers, so are not aware of the possibility.

Regarding sunken islands, one word: Atlantis?

Good grief! What are we teaching kids with these seemingly innocuous games? If you took this seriously, all board games would be verboten.

Sending good thoughts for your stint while Sis is gone to TX.

The chimney burglar - we're back to fixing "stupid," right?

The island discoveries are pretty intriguing and I look forward to hearing more.

The board games - geez! Not having kids or grandkids of an age to play them and not being one to play much more than rumikube, I'd not realized the lessons and innuendos being presented by both older and current games. Whatever happened to good old fashioned fun?

Hi Pat

It is going to be busy until Christmas. Sis will be back a week from Wednesday but they have two seminars that fell on my week to do two nights so I swithced with Sis and will be doing two nights for the next three weeks, cook Thanksgiving dinner for ten, take my niece to the airport and have dinner with a cousin from Modesto passing through Portland tomorrow night.

You would think these idiot crooks would read the stuck in the chimmney stories and get a clue.

It could be Atlantis!

I cannot think of anything more idiotic than teaching kids different meanings about these games.

Hi DR

Thanks for the good thoughts they are appreciated and needed.

I was impressed that a stupid criminal was starting his career at the young age of seventeen. He has a good future ahead of him.

I also look forward to hearing more about the islands.

Our family plays board games. I never got any lessons from them other than I am very competitive and some people won't play with me.
You are right, where did the fun go?
