History Travels To The Future

Some interesting history:

I'm not sure what we can learn from knowing this little bit of history. But maybe some things are just interesting and we don't have to read anymore into it.

The heck with history Oregon is traveling to the future:

This kind of bothers me. There is that hacking thing. And what if one person has more than one Ipad?

If you are traveling from the past to the future you might need a place to stay:

Any of the hotels are OK by me.

Comment Away.

QUOTE

Tallulah Bankhead authored yesterday's quote. Born in 1911 and died in 1989. "One of the things I learned the hard way was that it doesn't pay to get discouraged. Keeping busy and making optimism a way of life can restore your faith in yourself" was authored by a famous lady who began her career in musical comedy, became a success in radio comedy, starred in several movie comedies, and achieved her greatest popular success with TV. She was married to one of her television costars from 1940 to 1960. She was nominated for an Emmy Award thirteen times, and won four times. In 1977 she was among the first recipients of the Women in Film Crystal Award. She was the recipient of the Golden Globe Cecil B. DeMille Award in 1979, the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Kennedy Center Honors in 1986 and the Governors Award from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in 1989. Who authored today's quote.

Love the cave painting story. But from the picture, I'd guess that while there may have been spotted horses, there weren't any with little polka dots, so there was some artistic license going on there after all.

The iPad voting is interesting, and probably a good choice for people who need that kind of help. OTOH, I can imagine trying to explain how to use it to some of the elderly folks I know. They don't explain how they will present these to the selected voters, but it does sound like there will be some kind of paper trail, which should be essential to any touchscreen voting system.

Cool alternative hotels. I knew about the wigwam one, and I think we saw Kokopelli's Cave in another post here, but they all sound interesting and would be fun to try.

Will answer the blog articles later. Just wanted all who've sent prayers and encouragement to know I've been digitized and ultrasounded and the final report is CLEAR! Thanks for all the prayers. We're going out to dinner to celebrate.

Interesting about the cave painters. However, I do have to wonder if there are better places to spend some of the money we do on this sort of thing.

I'm not sure I understand why someone thinks it would be easier for the "elderly" and those with Alzhemers and such to understand an iPod than regular ballots. Yes, the idea of tampering is definitely a consideration.

I think I'll pass on all the hotels, at this point. ll interesting, but not sure I'd want to spend a great deal of time in any of them. The cave is out, as they don't allow pets. Some of the others look interesting, especially the wigwams.

Hi Pat

I loved the cave painting story also, interesting point about the horses!

I need help on how to use an IPad. I hope there is a paper trail but this is Oregon after all.

I would love just take a few months off and travel to each nof the hotels!

More important than any post of mine is the news ALL CLEAR!! Yea!!

I wonder if it was private funding for that painters or a grant. I hope is wasn't all governement money.

I'm with you, you do have to wonder why anyone would think
