Sailing Away

I wanted to thank everyone for their prayers, positive vibes, and good thoughts. With everyone behind me I think I am a slam dunk to nail those heart tests.

I'm really looking forward to the cruise today. The weather is cooperating with it being sunny and inthe mid seventies. Be a great way to spend three or four hours!

Starting the day off with a bit of a warning:

Speaking of warnings, could a company have screwed up things more than the one in the following article:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/20/aviva-mistaken-firing_n_1441790.html?1334961594&icid=maing-grid10%7Chtmlws-main-nb%7Cdl3%7Csec3_lnk3%26pLid%3D153930

I am closing with tips on how to choose a restaurant:

Comment Away.

I'm sure you'll ace the heart tests, Bill. With all of us rooting for you, how could you not? {s}

I hope you're enjoying the cruise today. Again, how could you not?

Ah, the Estonians strike! Estonians??? Anyway, another major attack on Microsoft products. I'm so glad I don't have to worry about such things. There's plenty to worry about without that.

I feel so sorry for the people who thought they were fired. And even more sorry for the one guy who actually was fired. Goes to show that you shouldn't fire people by email!

I agree with their take on those "tini" drinks. They may be tasty--some of them really are. But they are NOT martinis.

How nice that you have a comedian for a doctor. {g}

Glad you're more positive today and saw your earlier message you slept better. Since you've got this group behind you, I'm feeling confident about the tests, although I know there's likely still a niggle of worry until they're done and results are in. Hopefully, I'll have net access in AZ, so I can keep up.

Sounds like a perfect day for a cruise. Hope you're thoroughly enjoying it, as I type.

The thing on the Estonians is scarey. I keep trying to send it to Himself, but the site says it can't process email at the moment. As always, I wish these jerks would turn their talents to positive efforts.

I can't imagine getting an email saying "you're fired" and can only imagine how stunned the thousand-plus employees must have felt. Yeah, probably more than one panic attack.

Having never been a martini drinker, the variations mean nothing to me, but I've not heard "good" things about them from those who like a good martini. As to the waving in of customers from the street - that would be my first clue I really don't want to go in there. A bit like the folks offering "samples" outside their booths at the food courts.

So the doc is willing to alter the x-rays? Sounds like he's got a sense of humor and isn't too greatly concerned about you passing the tests. I take that as a good sign.

Hi Pat

The quote wasn't from my doctor it was a quote that I thought was funny from Henny Youngman. My doctor is about as straight laced as you can get.

Even though the doctor says you can't get in shape for those tests I am.

The cruise was just perfect, I will report on today in my update.

I do have microsoft so I am a tad worried.

I wonder how many people immediately started looking for another job after the firing e-mail. It would be justice if some of them found jobs before the e-mail was corrected and told the company to osculate on their posteriers.

They aren't even close to martinis, they are usually very sweet drinks.

Hi DR

See note to Pat about the quote, it was from Henny Youngman. I would be uneasy with him as my heart doctor!

The group is going to pull me through. What a great group and I also got e-mails from Shirley and Kaye.

When do you take off for Arizona?

The weather was snarly until we got in line to board the cruise. The like magic the clouds disappeared and thensun came out. Perfect weather. Perfect day.

I am with you, if the jerks turned their talents it to useful and helpful things how much better the world would be.

Some of the employees that were mistakenly fired probably had heart attacks or stress related headaches.

I have had one martini in my life and it was just to strong for me.
If they were waving in custormers from the streets I would walk right on by.
