My Update

There are two posts today. I got a nice email from Kaye and I will share that with under a post titled "Kaye's Update", you can comment on that post or on this one which is my update.

Been a very eventful week and it looks like next week will be a tad busy too. Last week first. Monday I went to the movie Rock Of Ages. Don't waste your time. It would have been better without Tom Cruise.
Tuesday was car to the doctor, lunch, dinner, and overnight at Mom's. Wednesday morning and lunch at Mom's. I did some errands Wednesday afternoon and spent the evening at my house just resting. Thursday was my big day. Sis brought me breakfast. Mom made me lunch. They all took me to dinner at Rose's that night for dinner and their free desert. My friend Mark drove down from Seattle just for my birthday! He looks better and seems to be doing better. I was really pleased to hear he had joined a grief group. Friday I was pretty darn exhausted and didn't sleep a lot Thursday night so I just chilled out at home. Had several calls from friends that couldn't get a hold of me on Thursday. I also watched the movie WANDERLUST, another one you can skip. Saturday was lunch and dinner at Mom's.

Next week is a busy one. Today Mom out to lunch, then dinner at her house. Monday I am meeting a friend for coffee at ten and then dinner at Mom's as her caregiver is doing a birthday thing for me. Tuesday is lunch with Dave T and then dinner and the night at Mom's. Wednesday is lunch with friends and relatives, Don & Belva, from Albany, Oregon and the night at Mom's. Thursday is the morning and until about three at Mom's then it is off to the Portland Trailblazer draft party. Friday is a day of rest and maybe the movie.
Saturday is the casino. Then life returns to normal. Thank God.

So what is going on in your life? Catch me up.. This is your day on the blog so post anything you damn well please!

I'm gonna comment on both posts, so there (G)

As always, I don't know how you keep up. From the sounds of things, the caregiver is, again, least in sight most of the time. I'm so glad to hear Mark joined a grief support group and seems to be doing better. I know you've been worried about him. Sounds like next week is equally busy, again with a lot of care giving.

Normal? Can you define that? (G,D&R)

We're slowly returning to what passes for normal or routine around here, but it's a gradual process. Last week was four days at the pool, line dance, app't with the chiro and massage therapy. Got in my editorial hours and then some (worked yesterday) on what's becoming, in my mind, the ms from the nether regions. Need an attitude adjustment. Domestic duties. Picking away at the clutter factor, bit by bit. MA snagged my blog site for the book(s), which makes me want to get to the book and site before the end of the year, altho that's not likely, given the editorial schedule. I may just work my tail off for six months, then take two months to do nothing but book revisions, promo, production and launch. We'll see. Life is quiet and uneventful and I hope it continues that way.

Hi DR

A lot of the caregivers grandkids are graduating from high school. A lifetime moment that I understand so it is OK. Next week I only have to do one night at Mom's, first week in a long time so of course I am looking forward. And I usually stay Thursday night until Susan gets there but this Thursday I want to go off to go the Blazer Draft Party so sis is doing that day.

I'm thrilled to death that Mark is going to the grief group, it can only help him.

I hope your life continues to be quiet and uneventful for a while. It always amazes me that as busy as you are youg get to the pool and line dance. That is so good for your mental health. Sorry the MS is becoming such a pain maybe it is the client and not you that needs an attitude adjustment. Clutter disappearing is always fun. I do hope you concentrate more on the book because I think it is so needed.
