Saturday

Soon I will be off to Mom's for today and tomorrow. Then I get Monday and Tuesday off and back to Mom's on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday starts the influx of relatives visiting from Texas.

Let's start with some good news:

And lets start planning now to be residents of a new community that is going to happen in 2023:

And let's close with things you need to know about today. I knew six of the items so I am getting better:

It appears you survived your seminar. Good job. So, when does the caregiver return? Hopefully before the influx of relatives? Could you give me a synopsis of that - apparently this came up while I was out of communication.

Yea! on the cancer advances and the successes in the clinical trials. While I realize there are some glitches, I glad to see there's progress being made.

I'll pass on Mars, thankyouverymuch. It looks pretty desert-like and we've now determined that's not my thing. Plus, I suspect they won't have heated therapy pools, massage therapists and line dancing. A girl has her priorities.

I didn't do well on the ten things to know, but I'll admit that for the past month, news events, especially things I can do nothing about, have been kind of off my radar. I did gulp at the bit on the stock prices - I"m still trying to make up the last major loss.

Another possible cancer breakthrough. Sounds promising.

The Mars trip is, well, interesting, but "one way"? I suspect this project will fizzle sometime before its due date of 2022.

You got better and I got worse on the Ten Things. I only knew five this time. One I had totally missed was that the Green Lantern was gay. Life is just full of surprises. In fact, though, I don't even remember the Green Lantern, though I did see the recent movie on TV one night when everthing else on was unwatchable.

Hi DR

The caregiver is back Thursday night. The Texas Troops start coming in Friday. My sister's daughter offically lost her job as news anchor last week and decieded to come visit her mom. My brother-in-law's son, his wife, and their five children are also coming that weekend. All are from Texas. Niece has a tryout for one of three jobs in LA in July so she may not be out of work for long.

Any treatment of any illness has glitches because not everyone reacts to a drug the same way. We can only improve the survivial rate until a cure comes. It sounds like that is what this new advance is doing.

I am not sure sure I'll pass on Mars, it depends on what is going on here then.

I am kind of a news junkie and I missed a lot so the guy that does this is specifically targeting things that are common knowledge.

Hi Pat

The more possible cancer breaktrhoughs the better because eventually one of these breakthroughs will stick.

I don't know, if Romney gets elected a lot of people will want to move to Mars.

I didn't know the Green Lantern was gay either. Just as I didn't know some of the Teletubies were.
