When Will We Ever Learn.

Zane Grey: Incredibly popular in the early 20th century, this adventure book writer began his career as a dentist, something he quickly began to hate. So, he began to write, only to see rejection after rejection for his works, being told eventually that he had no business being a writer and should given up. It took him years, but at 40, Zane finally got his first work published, leaving him with almost 90 books to his name and selling over 50 million copies worldwide.

The answer to yesterday's Who Am I was Germaine Greer .

I am at the first day of a two day seminar today so I didn't really have time to do a blog entry with links. Instead I am sharing something I wrote a while back but unfortunately I had to update it.

I know this is a controversial subject. Even my own brother disagrees with me. He hunts, I don't. I'm really don't want to prevent people from going hunting and am not promoting a ban on all guns just assault weapons that in my humble opinion should be left only in the hands of the military.

You can add one, no, two, from yesterday's news from this area. A boy brought a gun to school "for protection". It was in his backpack, apparently loaded, one in the chamber. When he tossed his backpack down, it went off, shooting a 15 y/o boy in the throat and a 15 y/o girl in the head. It seems the bullet had lost steam when it got to the girl, and didn't penetrate her skull, but she had brain bruising. The boy will be okay.

Then some guy, 50ish, white, shot a police officer in the chest, for what reason, nobody seems to know. The officer was wearing his vest, and will be okay. They are still looking for the shooter.

Yes, we need more gun control. Lots more gun control.

I wrote a response, which the "blogger" came back and said it couldn't process (not too long, just couldn't process). So, maybe it wasn't meant to be posted.

I could have added a thousand shooting but I just stuck with the assault rifles.

I really don't want to prevent gun ownership just assault rifle ownership.
